THE MIGHTY SPRING
.
The last snowflake of winter
dancing through the air.
wends it's way to Mother Earth
without a worry or a care.
Is that the whispering wind I hear
or could it be a song.
from the little snowflake
as it hurries it's way along.
I thought I heard it calling
"Come Spring! Be true!" it cried,
"Come wake the little Robin
Wipe the long sleep from your eyes."
"Awake, you silly daffodils,
and crocus in the lanes.
you pansys and proud tulips,
and all God's living things"
"Anticipate the season
awake from winter's rest
celebrate the Earth's rebirth
Mother Nature's at her best."
The last snowflake of winter
across the wind it softly sings
(I know 'cause I have heard it)
welcoming in the Mighty Spring!
