you mother, my love will never end
You are a true delight, you are my very best friend
I can recall just as a child, not fully grown
the words of kindness that you had sown
"Don't cross the road without looking both ways"
These are the words I remember back in those days
I didn't listen all the time, but I knew you meant well
I also knew you would be there if I ever fell
You would not get mad at me, just say oh my...
You never questioned my mistakes, or asked me why?
You just knew I was a child and expected these things from me
But now that I am grown, I guess I have to set you free
But can we still be friends and look upon the past?
I know it must be hard when you think I have grown up so fast
