THE QUIET BLUE LAKE

I love taking walks
by the quiet blue lake,
walking happily along
with my lab Jake.

We ain't goin' nowhere 
it's here and it's there,
 me and my friend
 without nary a care.

I love hearing sounds
of his paws on the ground,
or his "woof woof" bark
as he scampers around.

He has long long legs
and he's clumsy sometimes,
still it's hard to keep up 
with this champion of mine. 

Ain't nobody happier
then me and my Jake,
when we take our walks
by the quiet blue lake.
