I recently lost a very dear friend. Until then, I did not realize how much she enhanced my life nor did I realize how big of a hole it would leave in my heart. I miss the little things most, like the chats on the phone (we would talk for hours) or simply meeting for coffee at the Mocha Shop. We weren't always cheerful, we had our moments. I remember getting angry at her for complaining or for criticizing me. (Oh how I would give anything to hear those complaints again.) She has made me a better person just for having known her and I miss her. Friends are wonderful reminders that there is something in us to be loved. You know you have a friend when you can be comfortable enough to be yourself, like an old shoe that gets more comfortable as time goes by. Friends are an extension of ourselves, and we an extension of them. Friends keep us going and motivated, without friends we are lost! The first poem on this page is dedicated to my dear friend who had an Irish Heart. I hope you enjoy the cards. ~ Shari
