EASY TACO PIE

1 pound lean ground beef

1 package taco seasoning mix ( about 1-1/4 ounces )

1 8-ounce package refrigerated crescent rolls ( 8 rolls )

1 8-ounce carton dairy sour cream

1 medium tomato, chopped ( 2/3 cup )

1 medium onion, chopped ( 1/2 cup )

1 medium green or red sweet pepper, chopped ( 3/4 cup )

1-1/2 cups shredded taco cheese ( 6 ounces )

1 cup slightly crushed tortilla chips

In a large skillet, brown ground beef and drain off fat. Stir the taco mix into the meat. Add water specified on the seasoning package and cook according to seasoning mix directions. Lightly grease a 9-inch pie pan. Separate crescent roll dough into triangles. Press into bottom and up the sides of pie pan, pinching edges to seal dough. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 6 minutes.

Spread beef mixture in partially baked crust. Spread sour cream over top. Then sprinkle with tomatoes, onions and sweet pepper. Top with cheese and tortilla chips.

Bake, uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes or till heated through. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving. Makes 6 servings.

NOTE: Low fat sour cream may be substituted
