APPLE COFFEE CAKE
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Prepare greased cake (layer) pan
CAKE BATTER
2 cups Bisquick mix
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg
2/3 cup water or milk
1 cup finely chopped apples
TOPPING
1/4 cup sugar
2 Tbsp. Bisquick
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. firm butter
Combine, Bisquick, sugar, egg and water (or milk).
Stir for about 30 seconds and stir in apples.
Place in pan.
For topping, combine sugar, Bisquick, cinnamon and butter with a fork till it
resembles coarse oatmeal. Sprinkle on top of batter.
(I sometimes add chopped walnuts to the topping)
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
